hey, I'm Abby
I had been working in the restaurant and bar industry since they allowed me to start working at about 14. I was a hostess, busser, food runner... then graduated to server, bartender then in college I helped manage a bar/restaurant. I played every role in the front of the house and I was good at it. So naturally I, I thought, I'll open my own bar.
At that time, I had no idea what that would be...
But first.... let me back up. From my first years at college I always knew that I wanted to do my own thing... I felt the pressure to get a corporate position but there was this thing in my tummy that told me that I was meant to start a business.
I went back to serving (because quite honestly I was making more money slinging drinks and serving tables than I was at this "recruiting" position I had found) and continued to ignore reality and party my way into a WAKE UP CALL.
Tony, my now husband, and I had only been dating 2 years and living with each other for about 6 months when we found out about Frank. Our now strong headed and sweet 5 year old. He was quite the surprise and the best thing that ever happened to me.
that really all just remained a thought as I partied my way through School... found a "big girl" job, then quit after 6 months....
I was lucky enough to have a relative help me get my foot in the door with a successful local realtor and a team he had grown. I launched my career with him and then worked my tail off to really make my own mark in our local market. Fast forward 4 years down the road... my mentor and leader decided it was time for him to retire so I purchased and took over his business and hope to continue to carryon the legacy that he put in place while making it my own.
And that is when I found real estate
I knew I couldn't continue to serve tables with the inconsistent hours and night/weekend requirements... I knew I needed something more financially supportive and I certainly knew that I was NOT about to go back to working a corporate 9-5...
That was the exact moment it all changed for me. When I started owning my own story...
